Andy Bond joined ASDA as marketing manager in 1994. Shortly after, Archie Norman Andy Bond, CEO, ASDA and Alan Leyton began their turnaround of the chain. He rose rapidly and made his mark when he took control of the George clothing business in 2000, around the time the supermarket was acquired by WalMart. In 2004, he became Chief Operating Officer and in 2005 he became Chief Executive.

ASDA is the UK's second largest supermarket, serving thirteen million customers each week. Andy is responsible for over three hundred stores and their hundred and sixty thousand employees.
